Jessica Student, an accomplished non-profit marketing and strategy executive, will lead the Institute’s external operations.

Rodale Institute announced today that Jessica Student will serve as the prestigious global agricultural research and education nonprofit’s Chief Impact Officer, effective November 6, 2023. Student will lead the Institute’s Development, Marketing, and Communications divisions, as well as oversee the Institute’s forthcoming capital campaign. She will report to Rodale Institute CEO Jeff Tkach.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jessica Student to the Institute’s executive team,” said Tkach. “Student’s expertise in developing innovative brand strategies and robust marketing campaigns will advance Rodale Institute’s efforts to broaden the successful adoption of regenerative organic agriculture in the United States and abroad.”

“I understand the urgency and necessity for innovation and action to meet society’s and the planet’s critical challenges and believe that food and food systems are at the center of many of the required solutions,” said Student. “With a strong commitment to propelling the impactful work of the Institute in fostering regenerative organic agriculture, I look forward to contributing to the creation of a better future for all.”

In her previous roles at both nonprofit and for-profit organizations, Student was recognized for intersecting strategic thinking and effective execution. Her prior experience includes serving as VP, Brand & Strategy and Chief Marketing Officer for GOOD Institute and Net Impact. In that position, she amplified the voices of global change agents, fostered engagement with corporate and philanthropic partners, and increased brand credibility. Before joining Net Impact, she worked in the Natural Products/CPG industry as the Brand Manager for the organic greens company, Amazing Grass.

Student holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing from Slippery Rock University. She resides in Philadelphia with her partner and two young children.
